After careful planning and a lot of prayer, our church has decided to regather for in-person worship on Sunday, July 12 at 10:30am. Here’s a brief overview of our plan for re-opening:
- The sanctuary will be sanitized on Friday afternoon by Northwest Exterminating in preparation for the service on Sunday.
- Hymnals and Bibles will be removed from the pews, but we will use bulletins (printed on Friday).
- Members and friends will be asked to maintain physical distancing and wear masks from the moment they exit their cars.
- They will also be asked to wash their hands prior to entering the sanctuary. (Touchless sanitizer stations will be available in the narthex, as will masks for those who do not have their own.)
- The service will include music (organ, piano, and soloists), but not congregational singing and will last no more than 45 minutes.
- We will continue posting Pastor Tim’s sermons on the church’s website and Facebook page.
We hope this overview makes clear our commitment to minimize the risk when we gather for worship. Having said that, no one should feel pressure to come to the service on July 12. If you feel sick or need to avoid “large” indoor gatherings, please feel free to join us online.
