Nurturing Young Hearts with the Love of Christ
At Waleska United Methodist Church, we believe children are a vital part of our church family. That’s why our Children’s Ministry is focused on creating a safe, loving, and joy-filled environment where kids can grow in faith, build friendships, and discover the love of Jesus in fun and meaningful ways.
Sunday Mornings
Nursery (Infants & Toddlers)
Our nursery is lovingly staffed by incredible staff and volunteers who have a genuine passion for caring for little ones. More than just childcare, our nursery is a space where infants and toddlers are nurtured through music, play, and interaction that reflects God’s love. You’ll find our kid-friendly volunteers full of energy, warmth, and joy!
Worship with Families (All Ages)
Children are welcome and encouraged to join their families in the Sanctuary for our 10:30 a.m. worship service. Each service includes a special Children’s Message—a brief, age-appropriate teaching moment designed to help children connect with the message of the day.
Childrens Church (K–4th Grade)
After the Children’s Message, kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade are invited to a special time just for them—Children’s Church. This fun and faith-filled worship experience includes a weekly Bible point, creative activities, and engaging praise designed to help children encounter God in ways that speak to their hearts.
Special Events Throughout the Year
Our Children’s Ministry goes beyond Sunday mornings! We offer exciting and meaningful events for children and families throughout the year, including:

Vacation Bible School – A week of fun, music, crafts, games, and Bible stories

Easter Egg Hunt – A joyful celebration of resurrection and springtime fun

Trunk or Treat – A safe and festive way to enjoy Halloween with our church community. This year, October 29, 2025 from 6-8.

Seasonal Events – Watch for more events throughout the year that bring kids and families together
